Blue Lock Rivals Beginner Guide

A fan-made Blue Lock Rivals beginner guide for choosing a role, learning a repeatable 5v5 decision loop, and using codes with a plan.

Start with one role

Do not try to learn every play at once. Pick the role you want to repeat for your first few matches, then use a simple cue for every possession.

Role-first starting cues
RoleFirst cueCommon reset
StrikerCreate separation before calling for the ball.If the lane closes, move again instead of forcing the shot.
MidfielderReceive side-on and scan one option early.Recycle the ball and open a new passing angle.
DefenderProtect the center before chasing wide.Delay the attacker until support arrives.
KeeperStart on the likely shot line.Stay balanced until the attacker commits.

Use a three-match starter loop

  1. Match one: play one role for the whole match. Notice one moment where you lost an option.
  2. Match two: scan before every receive. The goal is to see a pass, carry, or reset before pressure arrives.
  3. Match three: repeat the same role and fix one earlier mistake. Keep the review small enough to use next game.

The loop is more useful than changing your plan after every highlight. Once your decisions feel predictable, compare Styles and Flows that support the role you are already practicing.

Use spins and codes with a plan

Codes can help you build options, but a reward does not replace role practice. Redeem a code exactly as shown, then decide which role you want the next Style or Flow to support.
